Family Activities
Families visiting the area will find plenty of fun activities to fill their time. See the weird and wacky at the Myrtle Beach branch of the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum. At Magiquest, families can get a magic wand and use it to open treasure chests, talk to trees and more. Go on a quest to find different symbols and objects, and receive virtual runes in return. When you've collected enough runes you can help a princess, battle a dragon and more. For a memorable dinner, head to Medieval Times where you'll dine with your hands - they didn't use utensils back then - while watching a slow of knights on horseback sword fighting, jousting and more.
Golf
Golf lovers will have their choice of more than 100 courses in the Myrtle Beach area, including top-notch courses designed by none other than Jack Nicklaus. There are both public and private courses in the area for your golfing pleasure.
Shopping
Myrtle Beach is a bargain lovers paradise with three outlet malls located within city limits and more just a short drive away.
Gambling
Those who like to indulge in a little gaming can board one of the casino ships operating in Myrtle Beach, offering dining and entertainment as well as slots and table games. The Big "M" Casino and SunCruz Aquasino ships set out for 5-hour long cruises along the Little River Inlet.
Beaches
Because it fronts the Atlantic Ocean, the area boasts 60 miles of beach, where visitors can swim, build sandcastles, fish, snorkel, parasail, scuba dive, kayak or just lay back on a lounge chair with a good read. Beach season in Myrtle Beach stretches from May to September.
Amusement & Waterparks
If you can't get enough of the water at the beach, head to one of the area's several water parks. At the Myrtle Waves Water Park, you'll find a plethora of water slides, raft rides and more. Family Kingdom is Myrtle Beach's only oceanfront waterpark, with water slides and a lazy river. Family Kingdom is also home to an amusement park with rides and activities for all ages. There you'll find bumper boats, roller coasters, a log flume ride and more.
